Abbot Paint & Carpet Does Their Part for the Environment

Abbott Paint & Carpet recycles paint to keep leftovers out of landfills.

Since 2014, with the passing of the Paint Care Act, a small fee has been added to paint purchases, which allows folks to have their old paint recycled for free. Dave Abbott, vice president of Abbott Paint & Carpet, says that the Paint Care Act has “made it easier for recycling to happen.”

It’s as easy as dropping off your labeled can of latex or oil-based leftovers at any Abbott Paint & Carpet store. The can must be labeled and airtight, and spray paint is not accepted. The leftover product will be recycled into new paint.
