White Bear Lake Area High School’s senior defenseman Lance Carney loves everything about hockey—even the practices. As a three-year letter winner, two-time all-conference award recipient and a member of the coveted USA Hockey National Player Development Camp, you could say his hard work is definitely paying off.
Carney, who originally hails from Monument, Colo., has dreams of playing Division 1 college hockey and if the stars align making it onto a professional team.
“My parents said that if you find something you love to do, it doesn’t matter how much money you make or how far you go,” he says, “you just have to pursue it. So that’s what I’m going to do.”
Spoken like a true prep elite.
