Dental hygienist Janelle Albert has worked at Lakeshore Family Dentistry (LFD) for several years.
“Imagine if you will, finding your dream job—finding the right job where you go and feel at home, where even on a Monday morning, work is great. That’s what I found 17 years ago at [LFD],” says Albert.
Albert began her work at LFD as a dental assistant intern in 2002. Shortly after, she was hired on as an assistant. After several years in that role, she went to dental hygiene school. After she graduated in 2007, she returned to LFD as a registered dental hygienist and has been working there ever since.
“Helping people be comfortable in a dental atmosphere is important to me and the team,” Albert says. “Working with patients to discover and create their optimal smile is so rewarding.”
Albert values the team’s compassion in the office. “[We have] compassion for our patients and for each other,” she says. Albert says that the team’s commitment to providing a high level of quality care is another important aspect of her work.
Albert was inspired to pursue the dental field while working with elderly patients in a skilled nursing facility. “Seeing the connections between a patient’s confidence, overall health and their oral health was enough for me to want to create healthy smiles,” Albert says. “I look forward each day to have the opportunity to help people create a healthier smile.”
