White Bear Unitarian Universalist Church celebrates Martin Luther King, Jr.

The sixth annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast will be held at the White Bear Unitarian Universalist Church on January 19. Professor Nekima Levy-Pounds, law professor at the University of St. Thomas and leader of the Community Justice Project, will speak on this year’s theme: Infinite Hope, Meaningful Action. In addition, keynote speaker Vernon Jordan—an attorney and civil rights leader—will be telecasted from the Minneapolis Convention Center. In past years, the event has drawn several hundred who gather to honor Dr. King. Breakfast is $5 and begins at 7 a.m.; free program begins at 7:30.
