The Minnesota State Hockey Tournament is over. The Edina boys took home the championship, topping Eden Prairie in overtime.
White Bear Lake fell to Blaine 4-2 in the quarterfinal, continuing their streak of opening game losses, which now stands at 0-19.
Now that the tourney is behind us, we can celebrate the real winners: the 2019 Minnesota State High School All Hockey Hair Team. That’s right, the state’s most anticipated YouTube video of the year has arrived.
It’s not all good news, though. The creator says this year’s video, the 10th annual edition, is going to be his last.
“After 10 years, this is the last video I’ll be doing, so let’s go out with a bang, shall we?” he says. “Let’s make this the Grand Flownale.”
Watch the video above for the whole hairy spectacle. While White Bear Lake may have not have taken home a win on the ice, one player did make the All Hockey Hair Team. And Mahtomedi's Dylan Duckson earned an honorable mention.
