Lens on the Lake: A Bird’s-eye View

Outdoor Hockey at North Campus garners an honorable mention in the Activities and Events category.

Hockey is one of America’s favorite pastimes. And local hockey player/amateur photographer, Chris Kieger, shows us what hockey means to him by flying his drone over the North Campus. Waiting for his buddies to arrive was the perfect time to get out his drone and take some pictures of a sport he loves and a town he loves even more.

Kieger started doing photography about four years ago. In the spring of 2016, he bought a drone and has been flying it around White Bear Lake ever since. “I do all this for fun,” he says. “I grew up in White Bear Lake; I like everything about the city. Most of the stuff I do outside of work is in White Bear Lake, including playing hockey.”
