Lens on the Lake: Stop the Car

Capturing moments has always been important for Darcie Lewandowski, who has been involved with photography since she was young. “Photos are like the snapshots in time. Those memories we might not always remember later on,” Lewandowski says. “It’s just a simple way to hold on to the memories and the feelings that you have when you take a photo.”

She captured the photo, Otter Lake Sunrise, while leaving town and heading up to her cabin. “The sun was coming up, it just looked so peaceful across the lake,” Lewandowski says. “I told my husband he had to stop and let me take a picture.”
