The continuation of the beloved annual concert provided by the White Bear Unitarian Universalist Church kicks off this month with local artist Ann Reed.
The concert series, A Joyful Noise, features artists of various genres from the Twin Cities in the sanctuary of the church. The space, with its great acoustics, is what inspired this music event, co-chair of the concert committee Margo Berg says.
Akin to its start in 2009, the concert invites all community members to share their love of music. The event’s success can be contributed to the caliber of artists enlisted and the different styles of music, Berg says.
Hosted Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., all concerts entail an intermission and light refreshments. This year, the concert will showcase Ann Reed (January 20), The OK Factor with the Luther College Alumni Orchestra (March 3), and Patty Peterson presents the Jazz Women All-Stars (April 14). Tickets can be purchased at the church on Sundays or online; head to their website for more information and the Eventbrite link.
