A brand-new camera plus a curious kitty make for one beautiful photograph.

Pamela Moulton
One February day, White Bear Lake resident Pamela Moulton was playing around with her brand-new Olympus camera. As soon as it was out of the box, she began to search the room for the perfect subject for the first photograph; Moulton happened to be babysitting her sister’s cat, Baxter. A sweet and personable feline, Baxter slunk over to her, curious about what she was holding up to his face . . . and snap! The charming kitty is captured as a serious, intense tabby. This photo won Moulton third place in the Pets category of our annual Lens on the Lake photo contest.
