Pine Tree Apple Orchard has the best apples around, but now the folks at the orchard are being recognized for the best apple pie in Minnesota. Pie lovers from all over the state voted in a local television station’s online contest. Bakers Jeanne and Mary Jacobson reveal that the secret to their successful pastries is the fresh apples and their mother’s pie crust recipe. “Every pie is made by hand,” they say. “So each pie has its own personality.”
