WBLAEF fundraises for environmentally friendly initiatives in the school district.
The White Bear Lake Area Educational Foundation’s ninth annual fundraiser, Beyond the Shores, will be held October 23 at the White Bear Yacht Club from 6 to 9:30 p.m. There will be a buffet-style dinner, entertainment and an auction. Typically this fundraiser raises money for a key event, but this year is a little bit different. Funds will be raised for a new grant called Enhancing Environmental Education and will be used for buildings, classrooms and teachers. Several environmental-themed projects in the White Bear Lake Area School District are currently in the works. Cost for the Beyond the Shores event is $50 per person.
