While many of us are relegated to working or studying from home during the coronavirus pandemic, it may be difficult for those who don't have the right technology to get their work or studying completed.
So, in an effort to ensure everyone has access to that technology, the White Bear Lake Rotary Club is hosting the Technology Drive Benefiting PCs for People event. The club is collecting computers (PC and Mac), laptops, flat-screen monitors, tablets (Android, Microsoft Surface, Chromebooks) and accessories, such as mice and keyboards, cables, SD cards and laptop batteries; many of the devices will be refurbished and then provided to low-income households.
It's an easy way to help make a big impact in the lives of others.

PCs for People
PCs for People was created to provide the chance for all low-income individuals and nonprofits access to better education, health care and employment opportunities. Created by CEO Casey Sorensen in 2008, he established the nonprofit organization serving those in need across the nation.
Their mission is to recycle electronics and provides refurbished technology to low-income households. PCs for People meet and exceed standards for data sanitation and destruction. In doing so, PCs for People are environmentally responsible—100 percent of materials received are recycled or reused; nothing ends up in the landfills.
