Ron Hawkins Wins Second Place in the Nature and Wildlife Category of Our Annual Photo Contest

On an early autumn morning, Ron Hawkins took his Canon PowerShot by the water at Tamarack Nature Center. The result was a series of shots that captured the beauty of fall—a collage of reds and umbers. While Hawkins goes to Tamarack regularly, the photo shoot made that one trip rewarding.

“Each season has different blooming colors,” Hawkins says. “That particular morning, the color was so vibrant.” Though every season offers breathtaking landscapes, Stunning Colors at Tamarack Nature Center, highlights fall’s splendor.

Hawkins has been practicing photography for 10 years, but does not consider himself a professional; however, that doesn’t stop him from entering photo contests. “It’s nice hearing people compliment your photography,” says Hawkins.
