The Community of Grace Lutheran Church helped others this past holiday season.
For the first time, Community of Grace Lutheran Church held a day in which its members aided their neighbors in White Bear Lake and the surrounding areas.
Serve Day was a time where the congregation gave back during the busiest time of the year. From delivering meals to local firefighters and police, to assembling baking kits for the White Bear Lake Food Shelf, over 575 people pitched in.
“One of our core values is be the church in the world,” Brian Shoberg, communications director, says. “Going out into the world and serving people was the main purpose.”
