Dellwood Country Club completes pool renovations for members and their families.
A lap pool with stairs for lounging is an example of Dellwood Country Club’s new amenities.

Dellwood Country Club is committed to providing a unique experience for the entire family and, according to general manager Dennis Countryman, this led to renovating the pool complex, along with all other aspects of the club.

“Our old pool was over 25 years old and did not provide the experience we want for our members,” Countryman says. The project—costing just under $2 million—began last fall and was completed in late June.

In the new pool complex, customers will find a lap pool with large stairs for lounging in the water, a 250-foot lazy river for adults and kids, and a zero-entry play area for smaller children. “Our members enjoy a ‘resort-style’ experience with towel service, cabanas, food and beverage service, outdoor dining, an outdoor sit-down bar and a fire pit,” Countryman says.

The pool complex is phase II of a three-phase renovation of the club. Phase I focused on renovation of the golf course and phase III—coming in 2015—will feature $3.5 million of updates to the clubhouse. “The casual elegance of Dellwood Country Club is not a typical country club experience,” Countryman notes.
