St. John in the Wilderness Hosts Holiday Concert

White Bear Lake is making its way onto the Minnesota music scene with the WaterMusic Concert Series, now in its second year. The program, at St. John in the Wilderness Episcopal Church, consists of four concerts throughout the calendar year, and it is an ambitious endeavor: The performers are nationally recognized, and the music draws an audience from the entire metro area. “This is the level of music that brings in artists who are of the caliber, if not higher, than, anything you’d find in the Twin Cities,” says Henry Lebedinsky, artistic director of the WaterMusic Series.
   
This year’s holiday concert, A Celtic Christmas with Abigail Lennox and the Beggar Boys, is back by popular demand. “It’s a gift to the community from the parish,” Lebedinsky says.
