“We’ve done just about everything, from bringing a baby home from the hospital to birthday parties and driving sports teams,” says Tom Athmann, vice president of sales and marketing for Total Luxury Limousine. The family-owned company, founded by Dave Murray in 1987, started with one stretch six-passenger vehicle, but can now be considered the largest, most diverse company of chauffeur-driven vehicles in the Midwest. The business came to Mahtomedi in the fall of 2014 with completion of a brand new state-of-the-art headquarters.
Total Luxury Limousine currently has 65 cars in its fleet, including fully appointed limousines, executive sedans, coaches and, for those looking for a little retro style, a custom ’57 Chevrolet limousine, complete with flame airbrush painting.
“We do just about any type of event,” says Athmann. Weddings, proms and business events are the most popular, but Total Limo’s services are also used for vineyard tours, romantic dinners and birthday parties, just to name a few. Luxury coaches are in high demand during prom season. For more intimate events, such as a couple’s dinner, the new Mercedes Sprinter Limos are often requested.
