Vietnamese Restaurant Bamboo House Opens in White Bear Lake

Bamboo House serves a delicious fusion of Vietnamese and American cuisine
Long Vo presents some delicious food, including the combo platter appetizer ($17.50) and the braised ginger chicken ($16.25)

Preparing food for others runs in Long Vo’s blood. For 20 years his family has been in the business of opening and running restaurants. In December, Vo brought a taste of Vietnamese cuisine to White Bear Lake with the newly opened Bamboo House on Highway 96.

Vo’s latest venture offers typical take-out dishes, including amazing eggrolls and piles of fried rice, but they also offer other traditional Vietnamese dishes such as pho, a popular Vietnamese noodle soup, and the Bamboo House Saigon salad. These recipes have been passed down from family in Vietnam and put to the test through years of restaurant experience. The food is influenced by American tastes, becoming a fusion of American and Asian to appeal to a wide variety of palates.

A resident of White Bear Lake, Vo loves the city and the people, and is excited to introduce them to his latest establishment. When guests walk into the inviting space, he wants them to feel at home. “I hope to have customers satisfied by the atmosphere and by the amazing food,” Vo says.
