With rising temperatures, ice cream is the classic way to cool down on hot summer days. For 43 years, the Cup and Cone has been supplying that sweet treat. The local shop was opened by owner Rick Johnstone’s father in 1973, and has only grown since then. Johnstone says that he’s always looking for ways to “add new products and diversity for the customers.” From 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. this summer, you can get a cup or a cone featuring new flavors such as salted caramel, peach cobbler or the dairy-free lemon Dole whip. For the traditionalists, the ever-popular orange sherbet is still available.
