The Wedding Expo Returns for Another Year of Making Every Bride’s Dreams Come True

Head to the Wedding Expo for a chance to win a gift basket from Revive Salon!

The Wedding Expo is returning for its 33rd year at the White Bear Country Inn. Originally created by the former owner of Press Publications, this community event consistently provides a variety of vendors that offer goods and services a bride-to-be would want to have. And this cherished constant does entertain some variability, indulging in special events like a cake walk and a cash booth.

Although this event is small, bigger isn’t always better, Patty Steele, director of sales and marketing for Press Publications, says. “You get more quality one-on-one time. With bigger expos, you get crazier crowds,” she explains. The event offers lots of fun prizes, too, which range from gift baskets provided by the vendors to a honeymoon suite offered by White Bear Country Inn owner Bill Foussard. Starting this year, the first 25 brides are invited to a breakfast brunch including food, mimosas and a swag bag ($25).

This wedding expo is unique in that there’s a “local twist” to it, Steele says. “It’s a nice little community show that people can go to.” Many local members attend this event, ranging from newly engaged brides to mothers-in-law who want what’s best for the newest addition to their family.

“I always look at that thing and go dang—33 years, that’s crazy! But it works,” Steele says. “People like it, and they keep coming back.”
