Bear Water Run

Are you looking for the perfect training opportunity before the Twin Cities Marathon, or just want to spend a September morning on a scenic run?

The White Bear Lake Lions Club will host the Bear Water Run to benefit local charitable organizations.

The race offers a USATF-certified course, ChampionChip race results, water-wicking shirts, plentiful food during and after the race, and water and Gatorade stops every two miles. Read more about Bear Water Run

Tiger Tracks 5K and Family Run/ Walk

Earn your stripes and join the Minnesota Zoo for their annual Tiger Tracks 5K to raise money for wildlife conservation. The race starts at the Shady Oaks Picnic area and follows a course through the zoo on outdoor trails. Shout Out Loud Minnesota - A Suicide Prevention Charity Event

Join us for the 2nd Annual ‘Shout Out Loud’ Suicide Prevention and Resource Awareness event! Our main goal with Shout Out Loud is to normalize the conversation about suicide prevention in our community and encourage participation in local wellness resources. HopeFest

Alexandra House hosts its annual HopeFest event in the fall, as our lead into October, which is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The core principles of the event are to raise awareness about domestic and sexual violence, remember those we have lost, and honor the many survivors. The event includes a brief program, a 2-mile walk, Kidz Dash and Kidz Zone with inflatables and games, BBQ from The Bones Brothers, and a vendor/exhibitor resource fair. Read more about HopeFest

Food trucks, bouncy houses, family-friendly activities, and a silent auction – what more could you ask for on a Sunday in early fall? Come out to Southwest Park in Mahtomedi for the Family Fun Festival to support Aaron’s Playground, a memorial playground to be built in the park early next year. Entrance is free! Donuts and Dogs 5K

Grab your fluffy friend and a donut to work it all off as you walk or run along the trail. Proceeds of this event support Secondhand Hounds, a nonprofit animal rescue in Minnesota that works to provide a safe shelter, proper veterinary care and daily necessities for pups.
