First Presbyterian Annual Rummage Sale

First Presbyterian Church, which has been serving the White Bear Area for 153 years, has been sponsoring its popular rummage sales since 1904. Furniture and electronics will not be a part of this sale, but everything else you didn't know you needed will be available at bargain prices.

Donations may be dropped off on Tuesday, April 25 - Thursday, April 27 (day and evening hours will be available).  All items must be clean and in good working order.

Breanna’s Star: a Night of Art, Celebration and Giving

Breanna’s Star is a Night of Art, Celebration and Giving in support of Breanna’s Gift, an organization bringing classes & workshops in visual arts, dance, music, theater and “Art Takeout” to children at Ronald McDonald House Upper Midwest and Children’s Minnesota in St. Paul and Minneapolis. The event includes appetizers, wine and beer, silent and live auctions, a make-it-yourself art project and entertainment by country/rock/swing band Trailer Trash. Attire is casual. Alzheimer’s Association Purple Gala – 25th Anniversary

The
Alzheimer’s Association annual Purple Gala is a time to celebrate and honor the
lives of people impacted by Alzheimer’s and other dementias. The evening
includes a reception and silent auction followed by a gourmet dinner, live
auction, entertainment, and after party with a live band. Proceeds from the
Gala raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.

Mayors' Challenge Golf Tournament

The second annual Mayors' Challenge Golf Tournament at Keller Golf Course June 13 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Cost is $150 per golfer or $550 per foursome and includes lunch, dinner, greens fees, cart and golf balls. Silent auction will also be held. Proceeds benefit Northeast Youth & Family Services, a nonprofit mental health and social service agency serving over 4,000 youth, adults and families in the northeastern suburban community. Pints and Pups

Come get a pint and support a pup - it's the 2nd Pints and Pups fundraising event at Boom Island Brewing Company! A part of proceeds from the day will be donated to the featured rescue organizations at the event. This is a dog-friendly event - all well-behaved and leashed pups are welcome to attend with their humans! Read more about Pints and Pups

Plaid Friday

From the organizer:

For the second year in a row, dozens of local retailers will participate in an alternative campaign to Black Friday, known as Plaid Friday. Started five years ago in Oakland, Calif., Plaid Friday encourages consumers to put their holiday gift dollars back into the local economy by shopping at stores in their own communities. Merrick's Crystal Ball

This annual fundraising event benefits clients at Merrick, Inc. For fifty years Merrick has offered life enrichment and employment opportuntieis to adults with intellectual or developmental disavilities in the Twin Cities.
