Open Streets on 50th

Join Edina locals at the fifth annual Open Streets for a day of fun on 50th Street between Wooddale Avenue and Chowen Avenue. There will be plenty of opportunities to get to know the community, from listening to live music, bringing your furry friend to the Pet Zone or hanging out at the Red Cow beer garden. Minneapolis Bike Tour

Come participate in the 13th annual Minneapolis Bike Tour. Starting and ending on Boom Island in Northeast Mpls., choose from numerous beautiful park and trail routes for you and your family to enjoy. All courses will be closed to motorized traffic and include stops providing refreshments and bike mechanics. Proceeds go towards bike safety, education and trail maintenance. Tiger Tracks 5K and Family Run/ Walk

Earn your stripes and join the Minnesota Zoo for their annual Tiger Tracks 5K to raise money for wildlife conservation. The race starts at the Shady Oaks Picnic area and follows a course through the zoo on outdoor trails. White Bear High School – A Century Later

In 1918 construction began on the very first White Bear High School building and in 1919 it was complete. For several decades the building served students as first the high school, then Central Junior High and today as the White Bear Lake District Center offices attached to Central Middle School.  Join us to see photos of the transformation of the building and hear stories of some of its students as we celebrate 100 years of White Bear High. HopeFest

Alexandra House hosts its annual HopeFest event in the fall, as our lead into October, which is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The core principles of the event are to raise awareness about domestic and sexual violence, remember those we have lost, and honor the many survivors. The event includes a brief program, a 2-mile walk, Kidz Dash and Kidz Zone with inflatables and games, BBQ from The Bones Brothers, and a vendor/exhibitor resource fair. Read more about HopeFest
