Water Makes Music

This event is a result of the partnership between MacPhail Center for Music and the Metropolitan Library Service Agency to provide public programs at libraries demonstrating ways to incorporate music and stories for children to create a connection between music and literacy. The Water Makes Music event explores lakes, rivers and oceans and finds the steady beat in all of them through musical play. Limit of 20 children. For children birth through age 5. Dog Gone Reading

Cuddling up with a puppy has a lot of benefits, and for kids in kindergarten through seventh grades, one of those can be greater confidence reading. Stop by the Wildwood Branch Library, where children can read aloud to specially trained therapy dogs for 15-minute sessions to help them practice reading skills. Family Story Time

Take your little ones to the library, where it’s never too early to discover a love of reading.
