In November, the Vadnais Heights Economic Development Corporation hosted its annual dinner at Jimmy’s Event Center to celebrate the businesses and organizations that make the northeast metro business scene so vibrant.

Solid Ground, a nonprofit based in White Bear Lake, celebrated its 30th anniversary with a gala on October 11.

Music, rides, classic cars, food and more were all part of the Marketfest festivities this past June and July in downtown White Bear Lake.

This year’s “Raise the Curtain” gala held on May 23 exceeded its goal by raising $65,000. Entertainment included Don Eidel on guitar and singers Quinn Shadko and Austin Lewis with Blake Brauer on piano.

The VHEDC Awards Banquet at Jimmy’s Event Center featured Liwanag Ojala, CEO of CaringBridge, as the keynote speaker. The dinner celebrates the Northeast Metro’s economic vitality and commitment to the community, says executive director Ling Becker.
