The Maplewood Area Historical Society (MAHS) brings theatrical entertainment with a side of hotdish to the Bruentrup Heritage Farm.  MAHS will present the family-friendly comedy trio, THE LOONEY LUTHERANS, in “Livin’ La Vida Lutheran,” a show cooked up by one of the writers from the hit CHURCH BASEMENT LADIES musicals.  THE LOONEY LUTHERANS are three wacky gals who are promoting their new (fictional) cookbook with the use of music, comedy, audience interaction and a bit of wisdom for living a healthy life, “the Lutheran way!”  (But you don’t have to be Lutheran to love ‘em!) The variety show features songs and inspired improvisation in an evening of hilarious entertainment that appeals to all ages.

Audiences should bring an appetite because Bruentrup chef Mickey Michlitsch will offer Minnesota-inspired comfort foods in a pre-show picnic.  The actresses of THE LOONEY LUTHERANS will interact with the diners; historical exhibits will be open for viewing, and people will be encouraged to browse the grounds before stepping into the barn to watch the 75-minute show.
