A Hopping Good Time at the Vadnais Heights Egg Hunt

The City of Vadnais Heights hosts its annual Easter egg hunt.

Easter egg hunts are a hallmark of spring fun. The City of Vadnais Heights has hosted its own each year for decades, and 2017 will be no exception, as the annual event returns April 8.

Sponsored by the city and the Vadnais Heights Lions Club, the Easter egg hunt is free to attend, but raises money for an important cause. “People that come donate money and canned foods,” explains recreation supervisor Brigid Nault, who coordinates the event each year. “That’s optional but encouraged.” Last year, a total of 343 pounds of food and $119 were collected and donated to the Vadnais Heights Community Food Program, which aims to relieve hunger in the community.

So head over to Community Park to catch all the fun; maybe you’ll even catch a glimpse of the elusive Easter Bunny while you’re there.
