A popular food blog shares favorite Italian dishes with a healthy twist.
In 2009, local playwright Claudia Haas took to the web to compile recipes from her mother on her blog, Journey of an Italian Cook. The blog has since grown into much more than a database of Italian food, with the recipes tweaked to be healthier and the ingredients seasonal, which “just taste better,” according to Haas. Local and in-season dishes are always Haas’ favorite to cook and write about, and have found their way into the 50 plays she has written.
