Meet Market in White Bear Lake provides quality produce and fresh take-out

You may have noticed a warm new glow along Whitaker Street in the space formerly occupied by Roadside Pizza. The owners of Acqua in White Bear Lake and Forest Lake saw a huge opportunity when the space that would eventually become Meet Market opened up. Daron Close, director of operations, says they developed the concept for the space with an eye toward simplicity and approachability. At around 1,000 square feet, Meet Market only has enough space for two tables for two; the open floor plan is more conducive to providing take-out meals and selling fresh ingredients than a full sit-down experience.

The focus is to “bring in the best of everything we can,” says Close, which means fresh coastal seafood, bread from Franklin Street Bakery, beef from Niman Ranch and chicken from Bell & Evans Farms. The take-out menu features everything from fish and chips to sandwiches, all made with the freshest ingredients. On the retail side, they offer seafood like lobster and shrimp, staple produce such as squash and potatoes, and for those who want to bring home the delicious flavors you love at Acqua, their beloved pasta sauces are also available.
