White Bear Lake Area High School student Cole Kephart created this work titled Amsterdam (acrylic, 6 x 11) in teacher Shawn Gritzmacher’s art class. Kephart says, “As a history nut, I was inspired to create this work [because] I really enjoy European architecture. I view architecture as another medium of art, and was attempting to replicate the style of Jan Vermeer.”
