Looking for things to take pictures of after school one day, Max Mueller, now a freshman in college with plans to study meteorology, noticed his dog, Lucy, as she walked around the room, her nails clickety-clacking on the wood floor. Then, before he knew it, the perfect photo opportunity arose. “She just stopped and lay on the floor,” says Max, who got on the ground to be at her level. “She looked right at me; I knew that was the photo.”
"Dog Day" won first place in the Pets category of our inaugural Lens on the Lake photo contest. Look for other winners online and in the Around Town section in upcoming issues. We’ll start accepting entries for the 2014 contest in April.
