Roseann Meehan Kermes Invites Others to Experience the Joy of Hand-stitching in Her Latest Book

Interested in trying embroidery? Roseann Meehan Kermes, owner of Rosebud’s Cottage, recently published a new book, A Little Something: Cute-As-Can-Be Patterns for Wool Stitchery, a guide to simple wool projects for beginners and the advanced. The book focuses on wool appliqué, a technique that involves embellishing shapes of wool with thread.

A Little Something contains 16 easy projects, from coasters to bags and wall hangings. Each creation comes with a set of clear instructions. Kermes stresses that wool appliqué is not expensive—and easy to do. “All you need is scissors, needles, pins, shapes and some wool to work with.”

A Little Something is available at your local quilt shop, or anywhere books are sold.
