White Bear Lake theatre

While the Twin Cities is widely recognized as a premier scene for the performing arts, White Bear Lake-area residents have one of its gems in their backyard. For 61 years, Lakeshore Players Theatre (LPT) has been delighting audiences with live theatre and providing opportunities from community members to showcase their talents in acting, music, carpentry, costume design and much more.

A chill is in the air, and so are the sounds of high school theaters getting ready for their fall productions. Check out Mahtomedi High School’s production of the female version of The Odd Couple, and follow mismatched divorcees Olive and Florence and their crazy antics. The show will run November 15, 16, 22 and 23 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $6 for adults, $4 for students and senior citizens, and can be purchased at the door starting at 6:30 p.m.
