White Bear Lake business Monkey House is the perfect place for playtime and birthday parties

Monkey House offers fun play and party options for your kids.
It’s fun and frolic for these tots at Monkey House in White Bear Lake.

Imagine the look on your child’s face when you walk into a 5,000-square-foot space filled wall-to-wall with bouncy houses, climbing equipment, a giant slide and foam pit. This is Monkey House. Open almost two years, Monkey House is unlike any other venue locally, and is perfect for drop-in play and parties alike.

Managing partner Marc Harshman started the business after attending children’s birthday parties with his son and realizing White Bear Lake didn’t have a wide range of options. To create Monkey House, “I picked the things I liked best,” Harshman says. This didn’t include electronic games—kids get enough of that, he adds. Instead, Monkey House focuses on good, old-fashioned jumping around. All children 10 and younger are welcome, although parents are encouraged to join in on the fun.

Monkey House is available to rent for private parties. Options include an hour of playtime only, for $129 on weekdays and $159 on weekends; a standard party includes an hour of playtime and an hour in the party room with pizza, drinks and decorations included, for $199 on weekdays and $289 on weekends. Just bring your kids and the cake! Whether you’re planning the perfect party for your little one or simply looking for a space to spend a couple hours out of the cold, Monkey House will put a smile on any kid’s face.
