Aiming to be the biggest music event in White Bear Lake history, the White Bear Music Fest on August 22 and 23 will offer music for nearly every taste. For rock and roll enthusiasts to country fanatics, the event features established artists and bands from throughout the five-state area.
Friday night’s lineup is geared specifically toward rock. Kicking off the festival at 4 p.m. is High & Mighty, a high-energy show band. The group will be throwing it back with dance music from the ’70s, along with some of the most popular numbers of today. At 5:30 p.m., Bad Girlfriends will play both modern and classic rock favorites. Closing out the evening at 8 p.m. are the Dweebs, a seven-piece, Wisconsin-based family band that meets your need for quality music and deep belly laughs.
Saturday is designed with the cowboys and cowgirls in mind. Beginning at 4 p.m., Maiden Dixie takes the stage with a fresh blend of country, rock, blues and folk. Up next is the Killer Hayseeds at 5:30 p.m., who have been playing country music throughout the Midwest for the past 20 years. Drawing the curtain on the first White Bear Music Fest will be Tim Sigler at 8 p.m., covering everything from oldies by the likes of Johnny Cash to modern chart-toppers from Luke Bryan.
The event will be held rain or shine at Lakewood Hills Park, 2110 Orchard Lane in White Bear Lake. Bring a lawn chair or blanket.
Tickets can be purchased online up until the day of the event at whitebearmusicfest.com, or at the event. Single night, $18; both nights, $30. Processing fees apply.
