Sleeping Beauty, one of the world's most enduring and beloved fairy tales, tells the story of Princess Aurora who has an evil spell cast on her by the angry and wicked fairy, Carabosse. The Lilac Fairy, the fairy of wisdom, triumphs over the evil fairy leaving Aurora to sleep for 100 years only to be awakened by the kiss of the Brave Prince who follows the Lilac Fairy to the palace where the princess sleeps. Aurora and the Prince are married surrounded by Aurora's fairy tale friends and the Good Fairies who have bestowed the gifts of inner beauty on the Princess. Marketfest is a summer festival that features more than 150 vendors each week that offer a wide variety of arts, crafts, merchandise, services, and foods. The event also includes 2 stages of live musical entertainment, children's games and activities, a petting zoo, a farmer’s market, and a classic car show.
