Pillsbury House Theatre’s Late Nite Series

November 12 and 19 For its two remaining Saturdays in November, this series features several up-and-coming artists from Minnesota and New York who show off their stuff at Pillsbury House Theatre in South Minneapolis. Now in its 19th year, the series features different artists and performers each night. This year, the event will include a tribute to former participant and spoken word artists Kirk Washington, who died in a car accident last year. Arrive early at 8 p.m. and share a meal with the artists before the show at no extra cost. Ages 16 and up. 8 p.m.–midnight. $15. Read more about Pillsbury House Theatre’s Late Nite Series

Boom Room Jazz

Join Boom Island Brewing for the 2nd installment in the monthly Boom Room Jazz series! Featuring the return of Brad Bellows & Company, music will begin at 7pm and will run until approximately 8:30pm. A new taproom exclusive beer will be available for guests during the performance. As always, Boom Room Jazz is free; there is no cover. 


Lake Country Chorus Guest Night Open House

Lake Country Chorus sings four part a cappella harmony, barbershop style. Women and teen girls are invited to visit our open rehearsal night, meet members, learn to sing a tag or two and begin to learn a new song with us.

Formal music skills are not required, just the enjoyment of singing.  We will teach you the barbershop style.

Loring Park Art Festival

August 8–9 More than 140 local
artists converge on Loring Park, a beautiful green space in west
