The Nutcracker presented by St. Croix Ballet

The Stillwater Nutcracker, now in its 28th year, is a family-friendly version, choreographed to the music of Tchaikovsky, and follows the traditional story line of the young girl named Clara and her Christmas dream. Our version includes a live narration and the exuberant dancing of children from the age of five through professional level dancers who grace the show with beauty and spirit.

Perceptions of Norway

Perceptions of Norway seeks to expand common perceptions of Norwegians and their culture. Through the eyes of a fellow American, photographer Nancy Bundt — an expat residing in Norway for 25 years — guests to the exhibit will be able to witness the photos and stories of a diverse group of Norwegians.

The Looney Lutherans in "Livin' La Vida Lutheran"

The Maplewood Area Historical Society (MAHS) brings theatrical entertainment with a side of hotdish to the Bruentrup Heritage Farm.  MAHS will present the family-friendly comedy trio, THE LOONEY LUTHERANS, in “Livin’ La Vida Lutheran,” a show cooked up by one of the writers from the hit CHURCH BASEMENT LADIES musicals.  THE LOONEY LUTHERANS are three wacky gals who are promoting their new (fictional) cookbook with the use of music, comedy, audience interaction and a bit of wisdom for living a healthy life, “the Lutheran way!”  (But you don’t have to be Lutheran to love ‘em!) Lincoln Elementary presents Disney's Peter Pan Jr.

Disney’s PETER PAN JR. is playing at Central Middle School’s Community Auditorium on March 31st at 6:30 p.m., April 1st at 6:30 p.m. and April 2nd at 2:00 p.m. The beloved musical, designed for middle-school aged performers, is based on the play by J.M. Barrie and the 1953 Disney film. Peter and the Wolf

December 1–2 Friends of the Minnesota Orchestra transform the atrium, lobby and mezzanine of Orchestra Hall into a hub of eight to nine activity stations where kids and parents can partake in arts and crafts and learn about this year’s production of Peter and the Wolf, given life and humor on stage by prop-assisted actors, while also trying out the instruments they’ll soon be hearing—no extra charge.
