Manitou Days and Marketfest Bring Fun and Frolic

Manitou Days and Marketfest bring fun and frolic to White Bear Lake.
Libby and Bella Butters and their dog, Jasmine, take a break after winning last year's Pet Parade.

All year long, residents and visitors alike anticipate the summer festivals that bring thousands to the streets of downtown White Bear Lake.

Manitou Days
With more than 50 events, including a beach dance, parade, golf tournament, carnival, live music, children’s fishing contest, sandcastle building and more, this is summertime fun you won’t want to miss. “Manitou” is a Native American word for “spirit,” and true to the event’s name, you’ll find a sense of spirit here you’ll never forget. With as many as 8,000 people attending the parade, this is the extravaganza that defines the community. As Bill Foussard, Manitou Days coordinator,  puts it, “Everyone is coming together and showcasing the town.”

Marketfest
You stroll through Marketfest and enjoy live music, vendors, crafts, local businesses with booths, a classic car show, art contest, petting zoo, shopping and much more. Starting June 13, every Thursday evening for seven weeks.
