Who doesn’t love music under the stars on a warm summer night? Don’t miss this year’s annual Pops on the Porch event August 15, hosted by the White Bear Lake Area Historical Society. Bring your lawn chairs and picnic dinner, and listen to the sounds of the Moonlight Serenaders.
“Pops on the Porch started more than 20 years ago, as the house has a history of musical events,” says Meg Todd of the White Bear Lake Area Historical Society. Helen Fillebrown taught piano lessons, and through the years, many recitals have taken place at the historic house; they still do. “We look at it as an opportunity for us to give back to the community by providing a fun, entertaining family evening on the lake with the Fillebrown House as the backdrop,” Todd says.
Free. 6–8 p.m. Fillebrown House, 4735 Lake Ave., White Bear Lake; 651.407.5327.
