Century College’s theater department was founded 51 years ago and has since thrived as a vibrant part of the college experience for many students. Students can earn an Associate of Fine Arts in Theatre degree. Classes include theater appreciation, acting, technical theater and more. The Lakeshore Players Theatre has a new home, the Hanifl Performing Arts Center. Since its beginning in 1953, it has been based in two different churches. Now for the first time, the White Bear Lake-based theatre has a performance space to call its own.

Directed by Gorden Hedahl, Noises Off, a comical play staged at Lakeshore Players Theatre, is a fun, backstage farce.
The production begins as a normal play—until, that is, an actor playing the director walks on stage and begins directing. Behind-the-scenes hilarity ensues and features “showmances” between actors, diva performers and actors with mediocre acting ability.
