The Wedding Expo is returning for its 33rd year at the White Bear Country Inn. Originally created by the former owner of Press Publications, this community event consistently provides a variety of vendors that offer goods and services a bride-to-be would want to have.

On February 9th, the Olympic torch will once again light up our living rooms. We’ll huddle up on the couch next to family and friends. We’ll cheer and gasp and shout words of encouragement we secretly hope will travel through our television screens and inspire our favorite athletes.

According to Saint Paul Winter Carnival history, the event began as an answer by St. Paul business and civic leaders to an affront by East Coast newspaper writers in 1886 that deemed Minnesota an inhospitable place to live.
