White Bear Center for the Arts Hosts an International Plein Air Contest

New Possibilities

While the White Bear Center for the Arts (WBCA) building was closed during the pandemic, its operations were definitely not. As the building experienced a transformation—with the construction of two new galleries, a spacious atrium and charming retail space—WBCA stepped into virtual programs and events. The gallery was able to reach new people and places all over the world as a result.

Renovation and Reopening of  White Bear Center for the Arts

The White Bear Center for the Arts has expanded its space. Stemming from an initial need for more parking and additional square footage for the popular clay classes, the center has added to its atrium space, gallery and created two rooms dedicated to clay classes.

White Bear Center for the Arts Finds a New Home

If you haven’t yet heard, the White Bear Center for the Arts (WBCA) is movin’ on up, and is now housed in a shiny 10,000-square-foot facility. The WBCA, which offers a broad range of art classes and programs for children, teens, adults and families, now has a premier physical space to better serve local artists and looks to become a new community hotspot. “We really look at it as a community center with art at its core,” executive director Suzi Hudson says.
