LIBERTY CLASSICAL ACADEMY HOSTS K-12 OPEN HOUSE ON APRIL 14

BEAR LAKE, Minn. – Liberty Classical Academy will host an open house and
information session on April 14, 2015. 
Open to the public, the event provides insight and information to
families considering Liberty for enrollment. 
The morning will include a tour of classrooms, presentations by a
student and Liberty’s Headmaster, Rebekah Hagstrom, M.A., who will share the
story of Liberty, followed by time for questions and interaction with Liberty

Home At Last Tour

Solid Ground invites you to a Home At Last Tour. Solid Ground, formerly known as East Metro Women's Council, is a nonprofit that “helps families build the strong foundations they need to emerge from homelessness into a brighter future.” Come and learn about Solid Ground's innovative programs helping to end homelessness for families in our community. During the tour, a Solid Ground resident will give a testimony. This is a great opportunity to learn more about helping others in your community. Discover: Tree ID

It can be hard to tell the bare trees apart without their full canopy of distinctive leaves. Join the folks at Tamarack Nature Center to learn a simple key to telling the bare apart, and then set out on a hike to test your new skills. Sugar on Snow Party

There’s a celebration going on at Tamarack this month. As the trees run thick with sap, join the naturalists in transforming sap to syrup. The step-by-step process is fascinating: drilling the trees, collecting the sap in buckets, boiling the sap into syrup in the evaporator and enjoying the results on pancakes or over snow, a delicious tradition. U.S. Army Field Band and Soldiers’ Chorus

For 60 years, the internationally acclaimed Army Field Band and Soldiers’ Chorus has been taking its music and patriotic spirit around the world. The band travels thousands of miles each year, performing at venues sponsored by local organizations. This is a special event in the Wildwood Artist Series and is not included in the season ticket package. AARP Driving Classes

Did you know that Minnesota law mandates that seniors 55 years and older must receive a 10 percent discount on insurance premiums if they take a defensive driving class? If you’ve already taken the full course, attend one of these refreshers to brush up. There are no written or driving tests; it’s simply a reminder of the best practices to ensure everyone is safe out there.
